Truly Connecting People with Animals:

This program was designed to match participating senior citizens with a cat, waiving all adoption fees. Once a week or once a month, volunteers call or visit the senior to ensure a successful partnership. Should the cat need medical attention, a UCHS volunteer will transport the cat to and from vet appointments. The UCHS provides vaccinations for the cat for just $10 a year. If for any reason the senior is not able to keep his/her cat, the UCHS will find the cat a new home--guaranteed.

A Benefit for Everyone Involved:

Not only does this program offer companionship for seniors and for cats, but also a volunteer opportunity for someone ready to reach out and help people and animals. Plus, this program helps cats in need find wonderful homes. How can we go wrong with a program that does all of that?
