Tip of the Month (June): When puppies reach adolescence, food lures temporarily lose effectiveness. The owner and their food lures now have to compete for the dog’s attention with all the more interesting stimuli in the environment.

Friday is now: Find a Forever Friend Friday. To better accomodate your work schedules, we will be open from 3p.m.-8p.m. so you can adopt your new forever friend after work and have the weekend to hang out together!

Better with a Buddy is Back! Due to the high number of cats we see every spring and summer, we are offering two cat adoptions (any age) for the price of one! Since our cats reside in an open environment at the shelter you can easily see which cats get along well together and as always, make the decision based on compatibility into your home and lifestyle!

Friday, June 18th 2010- UCHS will be cooking up burgers and hot dogs for the Ohio Aerobatic Open. $5 a plate for a hamburger or hot dog, chips and a drink. All proceeds to benefit UCHS!

Our next major event is our 6th Annual Run Fur Hope 5K/2M Fun Run with your dog/1M Family Walk with your dog!!! Saturday, August 7th, 2010 at Mill Valley Park South! You can register online at www.active.com Just type in "Run Fur Hope" and you'll find our event!!
